The new General Data Protection Regulation comes into effect as of today, Walker Crane Services Ltd (WCS) are required to advise of the data that we hold for Customers and Suppliers and how we use it.
Any information that we hold is only used in connection with the trading relationship between our respective businesses. WCS does not communicate or pass on any information to third parties. We do not make unsolicited calls or send mail shots to Customers.
WCS may hold and utilise Company address details, contact names, job titles, telephone numbers, email addresses – all of which will have been provided to facilitate normal transactional business, including quotations, orders, invoices, remittances and payments as well as specific, transactional communication. We may also hold Bank details for Supplier payments. We do not hold Customer Bank details, however where a Customer has paid for goods and/or services by credit or debit card, the merchant copy of the card transaction is held until Bank reconciliation (usually no longer than one month from date of transaction). All details are securely destroyed in accordance with Company policy.
All information is held on restricted access, password protected Computers, which back up to a secure server. These are externally monitored. Only directors and senior staff have access to this information and all are aware of their responsibility to protect this data. All hard copy records are kept for the statutory required period and then securely destroyed.
